My study of the astrological mysteries has spanned over thirty years now, starting in earnest with the first book I purchased on astrology back in 1995.
For most of that time, I considered myself merely a student of astrology. In my mind, the starry veil is so vast, and we are only afforded glimpses of the true mysteries beyond it no matter how long we look. But the universe kept whispering in the voices of those around me who would always ask for astrological guidance.
So, Beyond the Starry Veil is the work of sharing that knowledge with you, helping you uncover the magic of your cosmic inheritance, and how to use that magic in the current moment to navigate the stellar currents.
My Approach
My astrological practice is a synthesis of traditional and modern astrology, with a heavy dose of mythology. I began my study of astrology via the modern school, using it as a means of psychological analysis to facilitate personal growth and healing. About ten years into my studies, I added the asteroids to my methodology, finding the insights they provide invaluable; my recent additional work with asteroids has only reinforced my certainty of their vital importance.
In recent years, I have slowly integrated traditional techniques into my practice, as I am unwilling to assume that our modernity means we know more than our astrological ancestors.
My perspective is deeply rooted in my formal studies of critical theory—that the heart of spiritual work is to care for those who are most marginalized, and the indisputable truth that until all are free, none of us are.
